How can i get rid of a bad shaving rash?

Author: Every time i shave my legs i get a red pimply rash which lingers for days, how can i prevent / treat it?
Its not my razor as i have used many types to see if this is the cause and i have tried many shaving creams and gels to help but nothing seems to work!
Please help!
